    Note that the ingredients list says “celery powder.” That is actually a strong source of nitrates. So these hot dogs are not actually nitrate free.

      Yes, I am aware of that. This was meant to be a somewhat tongue-in-cheek post – are hot dogs, no matter how they are made and marketed, every really a healthy choice? Probably not. But as far as flavor goes, I find these are the yummiest.
